Get Ready for Testing Day

Because our evaluation is so comprehensive, there are a lot of steps involved. Follow the preparation guide below, then schedule your appointment when you're ready.

Get Ready

1

Rest Up

No strenuous exercise 24 hours prior to your visit. Your body needs to be ready to perform at its max on testing day.

2

Eat a Light Meal

Make sure you eat a light, low-fat meal 2 hours prior to your arrival. Don't come on an empty stomach — but don't overdo it either.

3

Take Your Medications

Please take your prescribed medications as normal. If you have any questions about a specific medication and testing, contact us beforehand.

Your Pack List

👕

Exercise Clothes

T-shirt, shorts, and shoes for exercising. Females: please wear a halter top or sports bra for electrode placement during the treadmill test.

💧

Water Bottle

Because, hydration. Bring a full water bottle — you'll be doing real work today.

🍎

A Snack

Bring a snack for after testing. The evaluation takes about 2 hours and you'll have earned it.

🚒

Leave the Bunker Gear

Please leave your bunker gear at the station. A bathroom is available if you need to change when you arrive.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

1

Arrival & Parking

Our testing facility is located at 325 Cherry Street, Suite 110, Fort Collins, CO 80521. Open in Google Maps → Enjoy free street parking.

2

Plan for 2 Hours

The full evaluation takes approximately 2 hours. Clear your schedule so you're not rushed — the testing is thorough by design.

3

Body Composition

We start by measuring your body fat. This gives us a foundational metabolic and cardiovascular risk marker before the active testing begins.

4

Pulmonary Function

Next is pulmonary function testing to assess your lung capacity and airflow — an important piece of the overall cardiovascular picture.

5

Treadmill Stress Test

You will walk and run on a treadmill wearing a mesh shirt to hold all the electrodes in place. This is the maximal stress test — you'll be pushed to your limit under full physician supervision. We take your blood pressure throughout — a lot. Tracking how it responds is a key part of the cardiovascular picture we're building.

6

Strength Testing

We finish with arm, handgrip, and leg strength testing along with muscular endurance assessments to complete your full physiological profile.
